The Polson Fire Department consists of two different
organizations. You will need to know if you live within the City of
Polson or outside the incorporated City limits. These two
organizations have an automatic mutual aid agreement.
Currently, the fire department has an Insurance Services Organization
Rating of a 5 in the City and a 5/9 rating outside the City Limits.
City fire hydrant spacing is a maximum of 1000 feet for most
residents.
Fire station locations:
Station #1 (City and Rural) – 106 1st Street East
Polson Station #2 (Rural) – Highway 93 and 7th Street – Big Arm
The City of Polson Operates: 2-Engines, 1-Aerial, 1-Rescue, and
2-Staff Vehicles. All engines carry 1000 gallons of water.
The Polson Rural Fire District Operates: 1-Engine (750 gallons),
1-Tendor (5,000 gallons), 1-Tendor (1,500 gallons). |
